Peninsula Bushwalking Club was founded in 1979 and is based in Mount Martha on the Mornington Peninsula. The club has recently celebrated its 30th anniversary with a weekend of walking at Anglesea.
The primary role of Peninsula Bushwalking Club is to promote, encourage and foster positive experiences associated with bushwalking, and to ensure the members are made aware of the safe and correct procedures in bushwalking through activities and the sharing of experiences with other club members.
We have an active program which includes day walks, overnight backpacking, extended backpacks and car camps.
The club also programs outdoor activities other than bushwalking , such as rock climbing, bike hikes, cross country skiing, snow shoe camps, sailing and canoeing/kayaking. Social functions occur frequently throughout the year and are enjoyed by all.
Meetings are held once a month with a monthly newsletter available to all members.
